About Us
Safari Cheza Africa is a grassroots organization based in the Rubaga Division slums of Kampala, Uganda, that seeks to empower communities through a holistic approach. Our organization primary focus is on driving social change through African expressive arts and creativity, including folk music, African drums and dances, crafts, storytelling, acting, and traditional African instruments. We deliver world fusion music through training and performances in public spaces, events, and schools. Along with our arts and music program, Safari Cheza also offers other community development programs including education, health, agriculture, livelihood, and research and development programs to promote holistic community development. Our integrated approach aims to empower communities, promote well-being, self-expression, and artistic skills, and contribute to research-driven interventions for sustainable change. Join us as we use arts to create positive social impact and empower individuals and communities to thrive.
