“What we do”
Our grassroots organization based in Kampala Rubaga Division slums is committed to empowering women and youth through a range of programs. Our agriculture program provides training in sustainable farming practices and microloans to start agricultural businesses. Our livelihood skills training program offers vocational training in areas such as computer skills and hospitality, as well as ongoing support for program graduates. Our music and arts program provides a space for creativity and self-expression while also developing employable skills in music and the arts. Our nutrition and well-being program offers counseling and support for mental health issues and training in stress management and mindfulness. Our climate/environmental change program provides training in sustainable energy and waste management practices and advocates for policy changes that support environmental conservation and climate change adaptation. Finally, our encouraging school program offers scholarships and support to girls in the community, advocates for gender equality in education, and creates mentorship opportunities for program graduates. By offering these diverse programs, we aim to empower women and youth in the community and contribute to sustainable, long-term development.
We strive to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. We invite you to learn more about each of these causes and to join us in making a difference.
