Agriculture Program

The Agriculture program of our grassroots organization is focused on promoting sustainable urban farming practices and permaculture in the community. We believe that urban agriculture has the potential to improve food security, increase access to fresh produce, and provide economic opportunities for community members. Our program offers training in sustainable farming practices, including permaculture, composting, and organic farming techniques.

Through microloans and ongoing support, we help aspiring farmers start their own agricultural businesses and improve their livelihoods. We also advocate for policies and programs that support sustainable urban agriculture and environmental conservation. Our program is committed to promoting a more resilient and sustainable food system that benefits both the community and the environment.

By empowering community members with the knowledge and resources they need to start their own urban farms, we are creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all. Our Agriculture program is not just about growing food, it is about building a community that is self-reliant and resilient in the face of environmental and economic challenges.

Our Objectives of The Agriculture Program

Empowering the community, one harvest at a time.

Some of the key objectives of our program include:

  1. Promoting sustainable farming practices: We aim to promote sustainable urban farming practices that minimize negative environmental impact, increase the availability of fresh produce, and improve soil health.

  2. Empowering aspiring farmers: We provide aspiring farmers with training, resources, and microloans to start their own agricultural businesses and improve their livelihoods.

  3. Advocating for policy change: We advocate for policies and programs that support sustainable urban agriculture and environmental conservation.

  4. Increasing food security: We aim to increase food security in the community by promoting access to fresh produce and empowering community members to grow their own food.

  5. Building community resilience: By promoting sustainable farming practices and supporting local agriculture, we aim to build a more resilient and self-reliant community that can withstand environmental and economic challenges.
